Happy Star Wars Day!

If you are anything like me you grew up wishing you were a blaster firing princess, being saved by the most handsome rogue in the galaxy, who of course was accompanied by the most loyal and hairiest side kick ever. Although this May 4th is darkened by the passing of Peter Mayhew, what better time to celebrate a bit of girl power. Because face it, Leia was one bad ass princess and back in the day many of us dreamed of being in charge like her. 

This post was fully inspired by the "listen carefully" pose from Extra, Asbjorn Raven and I couldn't resist a bit of cosplay with this one. I do owe him a huge thank you for not only getting naked and posing with just a storm troopers helmet on but also for taking the first 4 pics and doing the pose for the helmet grabbing shots too (those shots were all his idea.)  Gotta love a man who will get on his knees, wearing only a trooper helmet in the name of art for ya. 

I'm wearing the Nena bodysuit from MuggleBorn and the Davina platforms from Moda. I think they go wonderfully together. Both have tons of options to customize them from strap colors on the shoes or bulge options on the body suit, it's all there.

Of course I finished out the whole look with polish from Dark Passions. Both color choices for this look are older ones I dug out of my inventory, but that's the beauty of her polish sets, the textures are so fab they still look great even months after their release. 

As I write this I realize all of the brands featured in this post are headed by women. 

Leia would be proud.

Did you see the new trailer? Of course I am speaking about "Star Wars Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker." Oh I admit I cried at seeing Leia. She was my first idol, as a little girl all I wanted to be when I grew up was Princess Leia. To be honest I am not sure if I will ever outgrow that fantasy.  So when the I see super sexy Star Wars related items in SL I may get a wee bit excited. You can find the Rebeca from W:6 top at The Geek Fair. It includes a texture HUD, but I of course only had eyes for the Star Wars designs.  Seriously how cute is this top?

MMMMODA, that's what I am saying about these uber sexy heels.  They are just MMMM but then again aren't all the heels from MODA? Of course they include the fabulously large color HUD that we totally count on from MODA.  

A huge thank you to Asbjorn for his help with this post. When I saw the top from W:6 I just knew I needed a bit of a twist on a Star Wars look. Of course he did not hesitate to put on a stormtrooper helmet and he even set up the back drop for me. Then when RL work got a bit hectic he snapped a handful of pics of the two of us for this post.  If it wasn't for him this post would not have happened. I can't wait for us to do another pic or two with a SW theme. We already have one in the planning!

Sometimes you have to think outside the box and that is exactly what Mr. Raven and I did here with the super sexy Hands On pose from -Extra-  It works fabulously with the Gutted attachment from Hotdog. I love how wrong this is!

The Mr. wants to call it "Giblets" since we did it on Thanksgiving. Me? I am leaning more towards "Love Your Guts." What do you think?

The Darkness Chamber Fair Presents:
Gothic in Wonderland

June 2 - 23, 2018

Come join us in Wonderland where we take a trip down the rabbit hole and sip our tea with a motley bunch. From the Queen's Guard to fashion for the Gothic princess there is something for everyone. 

Speaking of Queen's Guard look at these delightful lil soldiers from Angelic Designs. They really are charming lil bastards and say the sweetest things.. ok not really, they are kinda jerks and a lil cranky if you bump into them, which is what makes them totally delightful. I may or may not have spent a good bit of time poking them just to hear them whisper their sweet lil phrases.  I think you will really enjoy them, they are seriously fun.
Ok so I know this post is crammed with goodies, we got clothes from Zoom, a head piece from Epicine, eyes from AZ Designs,  decor from Lunacy, Beauty of Darkness and The Little Bat.  And of course it would't be a TDCF post without poses from Serendipity. I always look forward to their poses at  the event. 

I mentioned BoD doing decor but the lil booth I am in is also from BoD. You can see them on fully display at the Gothic in Wonderland event as they are the booths for each store. They are not only super low land impact, but also include a texture HUD and are modify so you can resize. I actually used two booths, a bigger one in back and the LI was still crazy low. Ya gotta love that!

It's that time again! The Darkness Chamber Fair is back, but we're doing it a bit differently this time. This time around we are going futuristic. It's The Darkness Chamber Fair: Cyber Edition.  

With all the future has to hold for us, you have to wonder where we will be and just how it will all look. Will we become our own circuit boards? Will we bear the scars of stellar flame bursts on our bodies. Will our defective parts be replaced with metal and hoses? How far away will humanity drift as we go forth into the stars. What looks like light at first may hold dark secrets beneath the surface. 

They say the eyes are windows into our souls, well the Space Eyes from Normandy are windows into a celestial world. The textures are gorgeous and vibrant and really just lovely. With an assortment of applier HUDS and mesh eyes this set will have you star gazing from within any SL head, mesh or system.   

Also from Normandy are the two different tattoos I have on. The Server Tattoo is a wonderful sleeve set which comes in multiple colors. I just love how intricate the pattern is. I am also wearing The Nebula Scars set, which is so pretty. Well as pretty as scars can be. With a choice of three opacity levels you will easily find one that looks good on both pale and darker skin tones. I do wonder just what leaves those kind of burn marks in such lovely colors....hmm. 

One thing is for sure, Cyber sure is sexy and W:6 nailed it with this amazing body suit. With a huge texture HUD and versions to cover the main mesh bodies you can't go wrong with it. The textures are delicious and oh so tantalizing, but be warned modesty is not an option with this one!
